The Army Rappers are the U.S. Army Field Band’s historic inaugural military hip-hop artists, led by Staff Sergeant Lamar Riddick. Through hip-hop and rap music, they use storytelling, performance, and real-life experience to inspire the next generation, challenge misconceptions, address meaningful topics, and create stronger connections between military and civilian communities.
The Army Rappers came to Stewart Design because they needed to turn a powerful concept into a credible and compelling brand. As a new initiative within the U.S. Army Field Band, the project needed an identity that could resonate with stakeholders, connect with fans, communicate the mission clearly, and give the artists a unified presence that felt authentic, modern, and memorable.
Stewart Design helped define the brand, mission, and vision while developing a bold identity system that blended military strength with the energy and attitude of hip-hop culture. The logo fuses the Army Rappers’ initials with the iconic U.S. Army Star, creating a simple but powerful mark that feels confident, symbolic, and instantly recognizable.
The result was a brand that helped make the initiative feel real, unified, and ready for a larger audience. The new identity gave the Army Rappers greater confidence, stronger credibility, and a professional foundation for promotion, marketing collateral, and public engagement. The work also earned recognition from multiple design competitions, including the American Graphic Design Awards, Best Brand Awards, and Worldwide Logo Design Awards.
The Army Rappers' bold letterform fuses its initials with the iconic U.S. Army Star in perfect harmony, delivering a powerful and stylish symbol. Additionally, the accompanying marketing collateral is raw and real, much like the stories they share.

"Working with Stewart Design was a game-changer for us. Their professionalism, talent, and thoroughness were exceptional. Without them, we would have been stranded with no idea how to turn our concept into reality. They not only designed a timeless logo but also helped us define our brand, mission, and vision in a way that resonated with stakeholders and fans.."
