
ReBuilders is a commercial restoration company serving the Mid-Atlantic region, specializing in emergency response, mitigation, and property restoration for commercial buildings. Founded by Judd P. Walther in 2015, the company was built on deep construction knowledge and a clear understanding of how buildings are assembled, damaged, and restored.
ReBuilders came to Stewart Design because the company had outgrown its original brand. Although the business had strong technical expertise and a meaningful mission, its image, messaging, and marketing materials were scattered and did not clearly communicate its commercial restoration focus. The company had invested heavily in advertising with limited return, and leadership recognized the need to reposition ReBuilders for stronger growth across West Virginia and beyond.
Stewart Design helped refocus the business from a generalized restoration contractor into a clear and confident commercial restoration brand. We clarified its positioning, developed the “Back to Business” tagline, strengthened its mission around restoring lives one property at a time, and created a bold identity system that communicated speed, precision, professionalism, and trust. We also supported the launch of key service programs, including Pre-Disaster Plans and the Rapid Response Guarantee.
The transformation gave ReBuilders a stronger market presence, clearer sales story, and more professional system for connecting with commercial property owners. Within six months of the rebrand, ReBuilders secured 10 new Pre-Disaster Plan contracts covering more than 750,000 square feet of property and landed more than 40 flood damage projects. The “Back to Business” campaign also helped increase brand awareness and support stronger sales conversations.
Over the following years, Judd became frustrated with ineffective attempts at building his business, investing tens of thousands of advertising dollars each month with little to no return. Coupled with an uninspired roofline symbol, inconsistent marketing collateral, and undifferentiated value, Judd became keenly aware of his need to reimagine ReBuilders for the future.
With their sights set on expansion across West Virginia and beyond, ReBuilders partnered with Stewart Design to refocus the family business from generalized contractor into the region’s go-to commercial restoration experts.
We began by helping ReBuilders articulate its new position as experts in commercial property restoration with clarity and confidence, epitomized in its new tagline “Back to Business.” Coupled with kind empathy, this statement laid the foundation for ReBuilders’ refocused positioning and heartfelt mission: “restoring lives – one property at a time.”
Similarly, Stewart Design supported the launch of two new programs for ReBuilders: Pre-Disaster Plans (PDP) and Rapid Response Guarantee, including naming and service design. Pre-Disaster Plans ensure that every square foot of your properties will be covered with priority access to emergency response, pre-disaster inspection and documentation, exclusive Same-Day Service Guarantees, and more. “That’s what really sets us apart, being proactive not reactive," Judd explains.
ReBuilders’ reimagined brand is corporate and clear, featuring simple iconography, compelling imagery, and direct messaging. ReBuilders’ dynamic logotype is sleek, strong, and fast, serving as a visual representation of its motto, “Back to Business.” The distinctive “R” not only adds versatility as a standalone symbol, but its arrow also inspires the angled elements across the identity system. These elements mirror ReBuilders’ commitment to speed and precision in restoration.
